Chiropractor and the Holidays

Take some time to be thankful for your chiropractor this holiday season, assuming you have a good chiropractor.

Don’t be naïve enough to think that any medical doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist, massage therapist, therapist or any other kind of service related professional you pay is more than just mediocre just because he/she has a piece of paper saying so. Unlike Santa, we do not have a “Naughty List” that can identify what chiropractor or health care professions to go to for your healthcare needs.  Online reviews and search engines can be helpful. With something as important as your health, do NOT rely solely on how Google rates your doctor’s office.

Once you have done your due diligence and have been able to acquire the chiropractic services of an above average chiropractor, then you are in a unique position to enjoy the holidays. Certainly this is not always the case, however, take some time to think back to the time BEFORE you started getting adjusted by your chiropractor. Remember that time when you could barely walk? How about when you have pain like lighting firing down your neck and into your fingers. The pain was so bad you couldn’t even put on your own shirt or brush your teeth let alone pick up and hug your kids. How about when the pain was so bad you were unable to even lay in bed. Or that time when you were scared because your baby was breech and you didn’t know what to do. Don’t’ forget about the time before you knew the difference between a structurally focused chiropractor and a traditional chiropractor. The traditional chiropractor you had been seeing for over a decade for chronic migraines that were so bad you’d throw up.

Over and over a chiropractor has the distinct honor of helping people in these types of situations get better and correct the cause of their problems. But don’t forget them this holiday season and be thankful for your chiropractor. Think about what it would have been like to still be taking and possibly addicted to pain killers because you didn’t have a structurally focused chiropractor tell show you WHY you were having that neck or back pain. You and your liver are happier and healthier because of your chiropractor. You may have even avoided spinal surgery because of your chiropractor! Don’t forget that you can actually enjoy that time with your family this year instead of self-medicating with a few extra glasses of wine to dull the pain.

Most importantly be thankful for your health and if you don’t have good health then go and find a good chiropractor to help you get there. If you want your holidays to be healthier and happier call Corrective Chiropractic in Greenville, NC today. Schedule a consult with Chiropractor Dr. Bret Wickstrom to see if he can help you. All those presents and time with family are much harder to enjoy if you’re in pain or not healthy and the next time you see your chiropractor think back to let him know how thankful you are for them this holiday season.

If you haven’t got your health, then you haven’t got anything.”   Count Rugen (The Princess Bride)
